Players Theatre

The Players Theatre is the most easterly theatre in the United Kingdom delivering a range of events, performances, culture and entertainment to the people of Lowestoft and beyond. It is run by volunteers who have a passion and commitment for musical theatre and an attachment to the Lowestoft community as they live here. The Theatre is also home to The Lowestoft Players, an award winning musical theatre group that has been performing in Lowestoft for over 50 years.

The Theatre seats 200 in the main Auditorium, but seating is flexible which makes the space ideal for other uses. It has rehearsal space and a bar/refreshment area.

Earlier this year a new heating/ventilation system was installed making the venue comfortable for users throughout the year. Volunteers are currently busy carrying out internal decorations ahead of official re-opening on 30 July when there will be a guest act. In August the Theatre will be used by BBC Radio 4 for a live broadcast of Any Questions?
