I am a Lowestoft born award winning artist and designer with 25 years experience in editorial print design, publishing and illustration.
My creative focus has recently returned to its roots in illustration which I now apply to recording views of the Lowestoft area using a cheap pack felt pens. These drawings have recently been curated in a new book that I have independently published called ‘Sheet 137 – Lowestoft’.
I have also learnt to use the photopolymer etching plate process at the London Print Studio in order to make limited edition reproductions of these drawings. After experimenting with many methodologies I found that this process perfectly reproduces the free and expressive nature of my original ‘en plein’ felt pen drawings and stays true to my ever present inspiration from the impressionists and local hero Harry Becker.
