As part of a major programme to reinvigorate Lowestoft’s seafront, final designs for improvements at the Royal Plain, Royal Green and the South Quay Wharf areas have been revealed.
The improvements, which are the first phase of the London Road, Lowestoft High Street Heritage Action Zone and Seafront Masterplan, will include the installation of new fountains at Royal Plain, enhanced green spaces, public realm and leisure provision.
Working closely with East Suffolk Council, a team comprising Hemingway Design, Untitled Practice, and Gelling Studio have developed initial designs in readiness for a planning application to be submitted.
Anyone wishing to view the final designs is welcome to come along to the East Point Pavilion on Thursday 6 July between 10am and 6pm. Members of the project team will be available to answer questions and talk through the improvements.
