East Suffolk Council has been granted full planning permission to build 6 x two-bedroom residential houses, on the existing site at 15-18 Milton Road East.
The now vacant site was formerly occupied by The Shaw Trust, but the building is set to be demolished and 6 new homes will be built, all for affordable rent.
The scheme, designed by Rees Pryer Architects is being led by East Suffolk Councils Housing Development Team.
The objective is to create a sustainable development, and the new homes will include the use of Air Source Heat Pumps for heating and hot water, and solar panels to generate electricity.
Most of these homes will have their own parking space and rear garden.

This is a fantastic use of vacant land and will provide much needed affordable housing in the Council’s bid to help solve the current housing crisis.
