Think Lowestoft’s Virtual Creative Hub welcomes back Julia Devonshire , Director of originalprojects;, for a workshop on how to bring vacant spaces to life through art in March.

Through originalprojects;, Julia has previously successfully delivered projects such as Ex Marks the Spot in the former Great Yarmouth Marks and Spencers store, and the PrimeYarc in the former Debenhams store in Market Gates in Great Yarmouth.

Julia’s broad professional experience of working in Arts and Culture spans contemporary art, heritage and cultural development (public sector, academic, artist-led and commercial). Devising and supporting the delivery of a range of solo and collaborative projects, events, and commissioned activity in the UK and abroad.

Her general ethos is grounded in grass-roots creative activity and engagement with diverse social, cultural and economic practices. Her ongoing concern is to work across the ‘sector’ to speculate, respond and inform; by enabling grass-roots communities and professionals to explore conventions, ideas, culture/ politics, theory and aesthetics, and facilitating interesting and serious, change-making projects, events and interventions.
